The World Will Never Be The Same

Good morning everyone. Tami Green. Pandemonium, calmer guys, my heart and soul.

My heart and soull is about helping us with our thoughts and our minds during this time. How we view this. What's going on now will make the difference and this is what I've been teaching since 2004 when I started working with people with severe mental illness and people going through difficult things. This is what I do.

Now I've got some unsettling news for you today, but guys, one of the skills that we use to help our mental health is radical acceptance. It's the uncertainty that kills us when we can accept what's really going on guys when we can accept what's really going on, then we can make good choices and radical acceptance is hard to do.

We have had enough information to know how long this is going to last and how long or how many people are going to be affected by this for a long time, but it takes time for us.

Radical acceptance. What's going on now? Like I said, we have had all of the information to know how long this is going to last and how many people it's going to affect for a long time. There are models from all over the world that are accurate and the white house just came up with their own. That's why Trump, I know you guys are watching me from all over the world and I'm going to address globally to Mike. We are doomed. No, we're not. My sense has, it's the apocalypse, but here's what's happening guys. The models are saying now we can expect between 10-50,000 deaths in America. Now the models are saying that we are going to have stay at home in place for at least six weeks. 

You're going to be home for at least six weeks. The world is never going to look the same. When you go back, what does that mean for you today? The UN chief, he said this is a defining moment in modern society. I've been saying that this is the Renaissance. Nothing has ever happened this profoundly in our world ever and we all have the opportunity right now to be our best or be our worst. We have the opportunity to go forward into the new world order and make a difference. Are you going to look back? I think not going on the models. I think we're all going to be at home through June. Who thinks that? How long do you guys think this is going to last? Where we're staying at home? Now I've been saying, look on my website, TamiGreen.com we are community enlightened through pain and exhilarated by purpose. Those of you that I work with that have gone through hard things. I'm telling you, this is your time to shine. This is it guys. You've gone through this. You have something to add to the world. 

You, if you've gone through difficult things before, what is enlightenment? Enlightenment is looking up and seeing what's going on, not in our own little minds and our own little worlds. Enlightenment, seeing what's going on with the society. This is going to profoundly affect society in some very good ways and you're poised for it. So what do you do?

What's going to happen when we come out of this? Our jobs are not going to be the same. Companies are going to close. Our daily habits will all change. We're not going to be hugging each other anymore. We're going to work more online. Some profoundly good changes are happening right now with medicine and mental illness. Last Monday, I begged the American Psychological Association and American Psychiatric Association to please issue a press release that therapists and psychiatrists and doctors to latitude to go online. There are so many restrictions that therapists are afraid they're going to break their licensing with right now. They're not going online. I'm talking to them every day and I'm seriously thinking about doing an emergency coaching certification. I was working on this last night so we can get therapists and all of you that have something to give certified as coaches right now because coaches have no restrictions like that. The licensing isn't the same and my ideas that I'm getting, you guys have ideas too. 

What is it that you envision the best-case scenario for the world to come out of this? Make it happen. Do something. 

Now is not the time to relax. I want you to do something. I want you to radically accept what's happening now and make a change. What's going to happen from this? We're all going to be more compassionate. Those who choose are going to be more compassionate. The human race is moving into a new age. It's done. Welcome to the new world order. There's going to be so many good things that come out of this. I want you to look and we're going to post in the URL the models and also the trajectory that the US is on. Guys, you look at Spain, Italy, all the places that have been hardest hit and the curve for them. I don't think I can do this, but the curve for them is like this. The curve for the US is like this right now. It's a J curve up, so I don't care where you are in America. If you're isolated in Montana, this is coming. 

God bless our people in New York City right now. The funeral homes are overloaded. They're bringing refrigerated trucks in now for people. This is what's happening. Okay, post what's to come, not what is happening. Paranoid. You tell us what's going to happen. What do you see is the good that's coming out of this and we're going to talk about that a lot and guys, look back on my live broadcast for the last week. I've talked about what you can do. I'm talking, I've talked about for two years how this is going to change everything and today I need you to practice radical acceptance because here's what happens with radical acceptance. When you know what's going on, then you can problem solve. We've got people posting on social media that get this. They already got this for you so you guys are far ahead. You're like, okay, this is what's happening. 

Here's what we can do about it. Right? Please post. Pray for our president guys, I don't care. I used to work in Washington, DC. You guys don't know that about me. I worked there for five years in politics. I don't talk about politics now because my life's calling is helping people, but we need to put politics aside. We need to put aside the country's alliances. The only way this is going to get resolved in a good way is if countries work together. If communities were together if individuals work together. Okay? Now for some good news, I'm going to give you the most important mental health skills that you can use today besides drinking, smoking, marijuana, whatever other stuff you guys are doing. Let's get some real good mental health skills, right? Number one, practice self-compassion and compassion. What is self-compassion? Self-compassion is stripping away everything about what you should be doing and feeling right now and being gentle with yourself. 

Do you have anxiety? Yes. That's understandable. Are you not sleeping? Are you overwhelmed? Okay. Don't do drugs, right? Just makes things worse, okay? Practice self-compassion. Practice compassion for people you've never felt compassion for in your life. Other religions, other countries, the people who are dying. Let's talk about this. Let's talk about guys. Suicide rates are going up. I've been talking about this. Let's practice compassion for other people and what they're going through and lend them hand wherever you can. Good, paranoid you're, you're doing all the right stuff. Check out comments on Twitter. They're saying some good stuff.

Number two, grief is normal right now. We are suffering a lot of losses right now. Things that we used to have are gone. Grief is normal. Research the stages of grief, y'all. It's okay. The quicker we can help ourselves except what's going on, the quicker weekends show ourselves self-compassion with the grieving process, the better we're going to be. These are normal to deal with right now. 

The other thing I've been practicing right now is one of my favorite skills is mindfulness guys. I have 16,000 hours of meditation and other, what I call thought technology practices and mindfulness is a huge part of that. I want you to have some practices as many minutes as you can today to be mindful of the present and what you have. I was pouring myself a cop cup of coffee this morning and I was thinking, thank you for this thing. That's always the same every day. My coffee, when you're holding your child or the spring guys, the spring is springing up everywhere just like it does every year. Mindfulness to the little flower that's poking up mindfulness too. 

Mindfulness to the moments of gratitude, the moments of the things that we have that are the same.
